Serums are by far my favorite skincare category out there, but not just any serum, of course. I live off nutrient-rich, antioxidant packed, potent serums. I am overjoyed every time I open a bottle and apply them because I know I am feeding my skin what it really needs!
If you’re not familiar with serums, they are a lightweight delivery system formulated with greater amounts of active ingredients that penetrate deeper into your skin. Despite their weightless formula, they actually deliver more “food” to your skin since they’re not diluted with other ingredients.
My absolute favorite thing to do is make what I like to call serum “cocktails” where I mix a variety of targeted serums together to address my custom skin needs (which change daily). How do I do this? All with the help of the AMAZING brand Odacité. This brand has a comprehensive line of serums that target anything you could ever imagine.
Need something for Hydration? Wrinkles? Sagging skin? Clogged pores? Acne? How about just something to make you glow? Trust me, there is a serum for that.
I choose this brand for my serums because I believe they’ve mastered the art of combining real science based results with all natural, non-toxic, plant-powered ingredients.
It is one of the purest skincare lines I have ever encountered. They use only the highest quality non-toxic ingredients. Everything is made from precious plant extracts and every product is organic, non-gmo, and vegan. There are no synthetic perfumes, dyes, parabens, etc. — you name it!
I am so obsessed with this line, I wish I had created it myself!
Here are some of the ingredients you can find in each of the serums (they make me grin from ear to ear):
Wild Carrot, Acai, Rose, Blueberry, Pomegrante, Apricot, Green Tea, Lemongrass, Papaya, Grapeseed, Grapefruit
The list goes on, but you get the idea! You can also see the full range of serums on this table below:
The best part about these serums is that they all WORK and smell heavenly. Each time I use them, it’s like a mini spa treatment at home — I feel like I am instantly being pampered since they are formulated with ingredients that double as aromatherapy. For example, one of my favorite serums formulated with wild carrot is known for uplifting and enhancing your mood in aromatherapy, in addition to making your skin glow!
There are SO many different ways to utilize these potent serums and the possibilities are honestly endless. I promise, you will feel like a skincare scientist too when you start having fun with them. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Option 1: Use 2 to 3 drops alone for an intensive solution
Option 2: Mix 1-2 drops into your moisturizer to give it a vitamin “boost”
Option 3: Layer over a face mist to lock in hydration
Option 4: Spot treat different serums on different areas of the face to target areas of concern with precision
Option 5: Alternate between various serums to feed your skin different actives
Option 6: Mix serums together to address multiple concerns at once (AKA cocktails)
My favorite methods have to be a combination of option 5 & 6 — I love making my unique cocktails every morning and night, depending on what my skin is going through. It is so fun, I feel like a little scientist mixing and grabbing different bottles creating a concoction!
I'M CURRENTLY USING THESE 4:
Gt+L | Radiance Effect
Green Tea Lemongrass Serum Concentrate
Jo+L | Clogged Pores
Jojoba Lavender Serum Concentrate
Ca R | Vital Glow
Wild Carrot Serum Concentrate
Pa+G | Hyperpigmentation
Papaya Geranium Serum Concentrate
*I also use the lip serum which looks amazing alone, but also works perfect layered under lipstick!*
These serum concentrates seriously make my skin GLOW and not just over time — they deliver instant results! I recommend these to anyone who asks how I make my skin look radiant. The formulation is perfection — each serum delivers just the right amount of glow (never oily or greasy looking) which is why I love applying them in the morning too. Other products out there are far too greasy and reserved for bedtime use only for me.
I can’t wait for you to start mixing and making your own serum cocktails to address your skin's of-the-moment needs too! Just remember, the serums are highly concentrated and go a long way, so you only need 2 or 3 drops!
