HOMEMADE VALENTINE’S CHOCOLATE BARS

Making your own chocolate bars is much simpler than you might think and I always have so much fun customizing the toppings for each season. They also make a perfect festive gift to pass out — just wrap the finished product in cellophane bags with a cute ribbon & note!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup cacao butter

1/2 cup cacao powder

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

TOPPINGS:

Freeze-dried strawberries

Goji berries

Rose petals (culinary grade)

Cacao nibs

Himalayan pink salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat the cacao butter in a medium saucepan over low heat until melted.

Turn off the heat, then whisk in the remaining ingredients and stir until completely smooth.

Pour the mixture into the silicone chocolate bar molds then sprinkle with your desired toppings.

Place the bars in the freezer for at least 1 hour to harden, then carefully remove from the molds once solid and store in the fridge.
